Finally. Something to take our minds off the elections.

Thank you Chicago Cubs!

Even if you are not a Chicago-ite, you have to feel good about the Cubby’s.  The World Series!

All right, I guess I am getting ahead of myself. They have gotten this close, many times before. But c’mon folks, give ’em a break. Their last World Series win was in 1908. It’s about time. This year is the year!

In honor of the election blues relief that the Cubs have brought to Chicago, I dug out a Christmas story that I wrote in 1984 — one of those times that the Cubs got close.
